Dance Nominations 2026
Marc Brew and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui
an Accident / a Life
an Accident / a Life is a critically acclaimed collaboration between two leading artists: trailblazing disabled choreographer Marc Brew and internationally renowned choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. A semi-autobiographical piece exploring the moments in our lives when everything changes. For Marc, this was his car accident, where he went from ballet dancer to paraplegic in a split second. A stunning, highly visual theatrical experience, including music, dance, storytelling, film, humour and a car. Brew’s performance challenges audiences to rethink assumptions about who can dance and shows how a personal story of resilience and reinvention can resonate with audiences worldwide.
Alesandra Seutin
Mimi’s Shebeen

Choreographer Alesandra Seutin creates a rich and vibrant work that uses movement as a living archive, carrying stories, memories and identities across generations. Drawing audiences into a celebration of resilience, heritage and humanity, the production bridges cultures and histories while speaking directly to contemporary conversations around migration, ancestry and belonging. Ambitious, emotionally rich and visually striking, it demonstrates the power of dance to connect people across borders and generations.
